യഹോവയെ കണ്ടെത്താകുന്ന സമയത്തു അവനെ അന്വേഷിപ്പിൻ; അവൻ അടുത്തിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ അവനെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിപ്പിൻ. ദുഷ്ടൻ തൻ്റെ വഴിയെയും നീതികെട്ടവൻ തൻ്റെ വിചാരങ്ങളെയും ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു യഹോവയിങ്കലേക്കു തിരിയട്ടെ; അവൻ അവനോടു കരുണകാണിക്കും; നമ്മുടെ ദൈവത്തിങ്കലേക്കു തിരിയട്ടെ; അവൻ ധാരാളം ക്ഷമിക്കും. എൻ്റെ വിചാരങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങളുടെ വിചാരങ്ങൾ അല്ല; നിങ്ങളുടെ വഴികൾ എൻ്റെ വഴികളുമല്ല എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു. ആകാശം ഭൂമിക്കുമീതെ ഉയർന്നിരിക്കുന്നതു പോലെ എൻ്റെ വഴികൾ നിങ്ങളുടെ വഴികളിലും എൻ്റെ വിചാരങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങളുടെ വിചാരങ്ങളിലും ഉയർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

അല്ല, ദൈവത്തിൻ്റെ ദയ നിന്നെ മാനസാന്തരത്തിലേക്കു നടത്തുന്നു എന്നു അറിയാതെ നീ അവൻ്റെ ദയ, ക്ഷമ, ദീർഘക്ഷാന്തി എന്നിവയുടെ ഐശ്വര്യം നിരസിക്കുന്നുവോ? എന്നാൽ നിൻ്റെ കാഠിന്യത്താലും അനുതാപമില്ലാത്ത ഹൃദയത്താലും നീ ദൈവത്തിൻ്റെ നീതിയുള്ള വിധി വെളിപ്പെടുന്ന കോപ ദിവസത്തേക്കു നിനക്കു തന്നേ കോപം ചരതിച്ചുവെക്കുന്നു. അവൻ ഓരോരുത്തന്നു അവനവൻ്റെ പ്രവൃത്തിക്കു തക്ക പകരം ചെയ്യും. നല്ല പ്രവൃത്തിക്കു വേണ്ടുന്ന സ്ഥിരത പൂണ്ടു തേജസ്സും മാനവും അക്ഷയതയും അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നവർക്കു നിത്യജീവനും, ശാഠ്യം പൂണ്ടു സത്യം അനുസരിക്കാതെ അനീതി അനുസരിക്കുന്നവർക്കു കോപവും ക്രോധവും കൊടുക്കും.

Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance? But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; Who will render to every man according to his deeds: To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life: But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath.

അവനവൻ ശരീരത്തിൽ ഇരിക്കുമ്പോൾ ചെയ്തതു നല്ലതാകിലും തീയതാകിലും അതിന്നു തക്കവണ്ണം പ്രാപിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നാം എല്ലാവരും ക്രിസ്തുവിൻ്റെ ന്യായാസനത്തിൻ്റെ മുമ്പാകെ വെളിപ്പെടേണ്ടതാകുന്നു
