നീതീകരിച്ചവരെ തേജസ്കരിച്ചുമിരിക്കുന്നു
whom he justified shall also glorified.
എന്നാൽ ദൈവത്തെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നവർക്കു, നിർണ്ണയപ്രകാരം വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ടവർക്കു തന്നേ, സകലവും നന്മെക്കായി കൂടി വ്യാപരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു നാം അറിയുന്നു.അവൻ മുന്നറിഞ്ഞവരെ തൻ്റെ പുത്രൻ അനേകം സഹോദരന്മാരിൽ ആദ്യജാതൻ ആകേണ്ടതിന്നു അവൻ്റെ സ്വരൂപത്തോടു അനുരൂപരാകുവാൻ മുന്നിയമിച്ചുമിരിക്കുന്നു.മുന്നിയമിച്ചവരെ വിളിച്ചും വിളിച്ചവരെ നീതീകരിച്ചും നീതീകരിച്ചവരെ തേജസ്കരിച്ചുമിരിക്കുന്നു.

സൃഷ്ടി ദൈവപുത്രന്മാരുടെ വെളിപ്പാടിനെ ആകാംക്ഷയോടെ കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നു. സൃഷ്ടി ദ്രവത്വത്തിൻ്റെ ദാസ്യത്തിൽനിന്നു വിടുതലും ദൈവമക്കളുടെ തേജസ്സാകുന്ന സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യവും പ്രാപിക്കും എന്നുള്ള ആശയോടെ മായെക്കു കീഴ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; മനഃപൂർവ്വമായിട്ടല്ല, അതിനെ കീഴ്പെടുത്തിയവൻ്റെ കല്പന നിമിത്തമത്രേ. സർവ്വസൃഷ്ടിയും ഇന്നുവരെ ഒരുപോലെ ഞരങ്ങി ഈറ്റുനോവോടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു നാം അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ.

ആത്മാവെന്ന ആദ്യദാനം ലഭിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന നാമും നമ്മുടെ ശരീരത്തിൻ്റെ വീണ്ടെടുപ്പായ പുത്രത്വത്തിന്നു കാത്തുകൊണ്ടു ഉള്ളിൽ ഞരങ്ങുന്നു. പ്രത്യാശയാലല്ലാ നാം രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടിരിക്കുന്നതു. കാണുന്ന പ്രത്യാശയോ പ്രത്യാശയല്ല; ഒരുത്തൻ കാണുന്നതിന്നായി ഇനി പ്രത്യാശിക്കുന്നതു എന്തിന്നു? നാം കാണാത്തതിന്നായി പ്രത്യാശിക്കുന്നു എങ്കിലോ അതിന്നായി ക്ഷമയോടെ കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

നാം മക്കൾ എങ്കിലോ അവകാശികളും ആകുന്നു; ദൈവത്തിൻ്റെ അവകാശികളും ക്രിസ്തുവിന്നു കൂട്ടവകാശികളും തന്നേ; നാം അവനോടുകൂടെ തേജസ്കരിക്കപ്പെടേണ്ടതിന്നു അവനോടുകൂടെ കഷ്ടമനുഭവിച്ചാലത്രേ.നമ്മിൽ വെളിപ്പെടുവാനുള്ള തേജസ്സു വിചാരിച്ചാൽ ഈ കാലത്തിലെ കഷ്ടങ്ങൾ സാരമില്ല എന്നു ഞാൻ എണ്ണുന്നു.

വിതെക്കുന്നതു ചത്തില്ല എങ്കിൽ ജീവിക്കുന്നില്ല
Sowing seed is not quicken, except it die
പക്ഷേ ഒരുവൻ; മരിച്ചവർ എങ്ങനെ ഉയിർക്കുന്നു എന്നും ഏതുവിധം ശരീരത്തോടെ വരുന്നു എന്നും ചോദിക്കും. മൂഢാ, നീ വിതെക്കുന്നതു ചത്തില്ല എങ്കിൽ ജീവിക്കുന്നില്ല. നീ വിതെക്കുന്നതോ ഉണ്ടാകുവാനുള്ള ശരീരമല്ല, കോതമ്പിൻ്റെ യോ മറ്റു വല്ലതിൻ്റെയോ വെറും മണിയത്രേ വിതെക്കുന്നതു; ദൈവമോ തൻ്റെ ഇഷ്ടംപോലെ അതിന്നു ഒരു ശരീരവും ഓരോ വിത്തിന്നു അതതിൻ്റെ ശരീരവും കൊടുക്കുന്നു.
സകല മാംസവും ഒരുപോലെയുള്ള മാംസമല്ല; മനുഷ്യരുടെ മാംസം വേറെ, കന്നുകാലികളുടെ മാംസം വേറെ, പക്ഷികളുടെ മാംസം വേറെ, മത്സ്യങ്ങളുടെ മാംസവും വേറെ.
സ്വർഗ്ഗീയ ശരീരങ്ങളും ഭൌമശരീരങ്ങളും ഉണ്ടു; സ്വർഗ്ഗീയ ശരീരങ്ങളുടെ തേജസ്സു വേറെ, ഭൌമ ശരീരങ്ങളുടെ തേജസ്സു വേറെ. സൂര്യൻ്റെ തേജസ്സു വേറെ, ചന്ദ്രൻ്റെ തേജസ്സു വേറെ, നക്ഷത്രങ്ങളുടെ തേജസ്സു വേറെ; നക്ഷത്രവും നക്ഷത്രവും തമ്മിൽ തേജസ്സുകൊണ്ടു ഭേദം ഉണ്ടല്ലോ.
മരിച്ചവരുടെ പുനരുത്ഥാനവും അവ്വണ്ണം തന്നേ. ദ്രവത്വത്തിൽ വിതെക്കപ്പെടുന്നു, അദ്രവത്വത്തിൽ ഉയിർക്കുന്നു; അപമാനത്തിൽ വിതെക്കപ്പെടുന്നു, തേജസ്സിൽ ഉയിർക്കുന്നു; ബലഹീനതയിൽ വിതെക്കപ്പെടുന്നു, ശക്തിയിൽ ഉയിർക്കുന്നു; പ്രാകൃതശരീരം വിതെക്കപ്പെടുന്നു, ആത്മികശരീരം ഉയിർക്കുന്നു; പ്രാകൃതശരീരം ഉണ്ടെങ്കിൽ ആത്മിക ശരീരവും ഉണ്ടു.

But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come? All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.
There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.
So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

യഹോവ സാത്താനോടു: എൻ്റെ ദാസനായ ഇയ്യോബിൻ്റെ മേൽ നീ ദൃഷ്ടിവെച്ചുവോ? അവനെപ്പോലെ നിഷ്കളങ്കനും നേരുള്ളവനും ദൈവഭക്തനും ദോഷം വിട്ടകലുന്നവനും ഭൂമിയിൽ ആരും ഇല്ലല്ലോ; അവൻ തൻ്റെ ഭക്തിമുറുകെ പിടിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; വെറുതെ അവനെ നശിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ എന്നെ സമ്മതിപ്പിച്ചു എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.
സാത്താൻ യഹോവയോടു: ത്വക്കിന്നു പകരം ത്വക്; മനുഷ്യൻ തനിക്കുള്ളതൊക്കെയും തൻ്റെ ജീവന്നു പകരം കൊടുത്തുകളയും.നിൻ്റെ കൈ നീട്ടി അവൻ്റെ അസ്ഥിയും മാംസവും ഒന്നു തൊടുക; അവൻ നിന്നെ മുഖത്തു നോക്കി ത്യജിച്ചുപറയും എന്നുത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു. യഹോവ സാത്താനോടു: ഇതാ, അവൻ നിൻ്റെ കയ്യിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; അവൻ്റെ പ്രാണനെ മാത്രം തൊടരുതു എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.
അങ്ങനെ സാത്താൻ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധി വിട്ടു പുറപ്പെട്ടു ഇയ്യോബിനെ ഉള്ളങ്കാൽമുതൽ നെറുക വരെ വല്ലാത്ത പരുക്കളാൽ ബാധിച്ചു. അവൻ ഒരു ഓട്ടിൻ കഷണം എടുത്തു തന്നെത്താൻ ചുരണ്ടിക്കൊണ്ടു ചാരത്തിൽ ഇരുന്നു.
അവൻ്റെ ഭാര്യ അവനോടു: നീ ഇനിയും നിൻ്റെ ഭക്തി മുറുകെ പിടിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നുവോ? ദൈവത്തെ ത്യജിച്ചുപറഞ്ഞു മരിച്ചുകളക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അവൻ അവളോടു: ഒരു പൊട്ടി സംസാരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ നീ സംസാരിക്കുന്നു;
നാം ദൈവത്തിൻ്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു നന്മ കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നു; തിന്മയും കൈക്കൊള്ളരുതോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. ഇതിൽ ഒന്നിലും ഇയ്യോബ് അധരങ്ങളാൽ പാപം ചെയ്തില്ല

അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാരെ വരുത്തി അടിപ്പിച്ചു, ഇനി യേശുവിൻ്റെ നാമത്തിൽ സംസാരിക്കരുതു എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു അവരെ വിട്ടയച്ചു. തിരുനാമത്തിന്നു വേണ്ടി അപമാനം സഹിപ്പാൻ യോഗ്യരായി എണ്ണപ്പെടുകയാൽ അവർ സന്തോഷിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു ന്യായാധിപ സംഘത്തിൻ്റെ മുമ്പിൽ നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടുപോയി. പിന്നെ അവർ ദിനംപ്രതി ദൈവാലയത്തിലും വീടുതോറും വിടാതെ ഉപദേശിക്കയും യേശുവിനെ ക്രിസ്തു എന്നു സുവിശേഷിക്കയും ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

നെബൂഖദ് നേസർരാജാവു പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു ഒരു ബിംബം ഉണ്ടാക്കി; അതിൻ്റെ ഉയരം അറുപതു മുഴവും വണ്ണം ആറു മുഴവും ആയിരുന്നു; അവൻ അതിനെ ബാബേൽസംസ്ഥാനത്തു ദൂരാസമഭൂമിയിൽ നിർത്തി.എന്നാൽ ആ സമയത്തു ചില കല്ദയർ അടുത്തുവന്നു യെഹൂദന്മാരെ കുറ്റം ചുമത്തി. അവർ നെബൂഖദ് നേസർരാജാവിനെ ബോധിപ്പിച്ചതു: രാജാവു ദീർഘായുസ്സായിരിക്കട്ടെ! ബാബേൽ സംസ്ഥാനത്തിലെ കാര്യാദികൾക്കു മേൽവിചാരകന്മാരായി നിയമിച്ച ശദ്രക്, മേശക്, അബേദ്നെഗോ എന്ന ചില യെഹൂദന്മാരുണ്ടല്ലോ: ഈ പുരുഷന്മാർ രാജാവിനെ കൂട്ടാക്കിയില്ല; അവർ തിരുമനസ്സിലെ ദേവന്മാരെ സേവിക്കയോ തിരുമനസ്സുകൊണ്ടു നിർത്തിയ സ്വർണ്ണ ബിംബത്തെ നമസ്കരിക്കയോ ചെയ്യുന്നില്ല.
അപ്പോൾ നെബൂഖദ്നേസർ ഉഗ്രകോപവും ക്രോധവും പൂണ്ടു ശദ്രക്കിനെയും മേശക്കിനെയും അബേദ്നെഗോവിനെയും കൊണ്ടുവരുവാൻ കല്പിച്ചു; ആ പുരുഷന്മാരെ രാജസന്നിധിയിൽ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു. നെബൂഖദ് നേസർ അവരോടു കല്പിച്ചതു: ശദ്രക്കേ, മേശക്കേ, അബേദ്നെഗോവേ, നിങ്ങൾ എൻ്റെ ദേവന്മാരെ സേവിക്കയോ ഞാൻ നിർത്തിയ സ്വർണ്ണബിംബത്തെ നമസ്കരിക്കയോ ചെയ്യുന്നില്ല എന്നുള്ളതു നേർതന്നേയോ? ഇപ്പോൾ കാഹളം, കുഴൽ, തംബുരു, കിന്നരം, വീണ, നാഗസ്വരം മുതലായ സകലവിധ വാദ്യനാദവും കേൾക്കുന്ന സമയത്തു നിങ്ങൾ, ഞാൻ പ്രതിഷ്ഠിച്ച ബിംബത്തെ വീണു നമസ്കരിപ്പാൻ ഒരുങ്ങിയിരുന്നാൽ നന്നു; നമസ്കരിക്കാതെയിരുന്നാലോ ഈ നാഴികയിൽ തന്നേ നിങ്ങളെ എരിയുന്ന തീച്ചൂളയിൽ ഇട്ടുകളയും;നിങ്ങളെ എൻ്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു വിടുവിക്കാകുന്ന ദേവൻ ആർ?
പ്രതികൂലങ്ങളുടെ മധ്യത്തിലും ദൈവത്തെ തള്ളിപറയാതെ ഉറച്ചു നില്കുന്നു
ശദ്രക്കും മേശക്കും അബേദ്നെഗോവും രാജാവിനോടു: നെബൂഖദ്നേസരേ, ഈ കാര്യത്തിൽ ഉത്തരം പറവാൻ ആവശ്യമില്ല. ഞങ്ങൾ സേവിക്കുന്ന ദൈവത്തിന്നു ഞങ്ങളെ വിടുവിപ്പാൻ കഴിയുമെങ്കിൽ, അവൻ ഞങ്ങളെ എരിയുന്ന തീച്ചൂളയിൽനിന്നും രാജാവിൻ്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നും വിടുവിക്കും.അല്ലെങ്കിലും ഞങ്ങൾ രാജാവിൻ്റെ ദേവന്മാരെ സേവിക്കയില്ല. രാജാവു നിർത്തിയ സ്വർണ്ണബിംബത്തെ നമസ്കരിക്കയുമില്ല എന്നു അറിഞ്ഞാലും എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
അപ്പോൾ നെബൂഖദ്നേസരിന്നു കോപം മുഴുത്തു ശദ്രക്കിൻ്റെയും മേശക്കിൻ്റെയും അബേദ്നെഗോവിൻ്റെയും നേരെ മുഖഭാവം മാറി; ചൂള പതിവായി ചൂടുപിടിപ്പിച്ചതിൽ ഏഴുമടങ്ങു ചൂടുപിടിപ്പിപ്പാൻ അവൻ കല്പിച്ചു. അവൻ തൻ്റെ സൈന്യത്തിലെ മഹാബലവാന്മാരായ ചില പുരുഷന്മാരോടു ശദ്രക്കിനെയും മേശക്കിനെയും അബേദ്നെഗോവെയും ബന്ധിച്ചു എരിയുന്ന തീച്ചൂളയിൽ ഇട്ടുകളവാൻ കല്പിച്ചു. രാജകല്പന കർശനമായിരിക്കകൊണ്ടും ചൂള അത്യന്തം ചൂടായിരിക്കകൊണ്ടും ശദ്രക്കിനെയും മേശക്കിനെയും അബേദ്നെഗോവെയും എടുത്തു കൊണ്ടുപോയ പുരുഷന്മാരെ അഗ്നിജ്വാല ദഹിപ്പിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു. ശദ്രക്, മേശക്, അബേദ്നെഗോ എന്നീ മൂന്നു പുരുഷന്മാരോ ബന്ധിക്കപ്പെട്ടവരായി എരിയുന്ന തീച്ചൂളയിൽ വീണു.
നെബൂഖദ്നേസർരാജാവു ഭ്രമിച്ചു വേഗത്തിൽ എഴുന്നേറ്റു മന്ത്രിമാരോടു: നാം മൂന്നു പുരുഷന്മാരെ അല്ലയോ ബന്ധിച്ചു തീയിൽ ഇട്ടതു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു അവർ: സത്യം തന്നേ രാജാവേ എന്നു രാജാവിനോടു ഉണർത്തിച്ചു.അതിന്നു അവൻ: നാലു പുരുഷന്മാർ കെട്ടഴിഞ്ഞു തീയിൽ നടക്കുന്നതു ഞാൻ കാണുന്നു; അവർക്കു ഒരു കേടും തട്ടീട്ടില്ല; നാലാമത്തവൻ്റെ രൂപം ഒരു ദൈവപുത്രനോടു ഒത്തിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു. നെബൂഖദ്നേസർ എരിയുന്ന തീച്ചൂളയുടെ വാതിൽക്കൽ അടുത്തു ചെന്നു; അത്യുന്നത ദൈവത്തിൻ്റെ ദാസന്മാരായ ശദ്രക്കേ, മേശക്കേ, അബേദ്നെഗോവേ, പുറത്തുവരുവിൻ എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു; അങ്ങനെ ശദ്രക്കും മേശക്കും അബേദ്നെഗോവും തീയിൽനിന്നു പുറത്തു വന്നു.
പ്രധാന ദേശാധിപതിമാരും സ്ഥാനാപതിമാരും ദേശാധിപതിമാരും രാജമന്ത്രിമാരും വന്നുകൂടി, ആ പുരുഷന്മാരുടെ ദേഹത്തിന്നു തീ പിടിക്കാതെയും അവരുടെ തലമുടി കരിയാതെയും കാൽചട്ടെക്കു കേടു പറ്റാതെയും അവർക്കു തീയുടെ മണംപോലും തട്ടാതെയും ഇരുന്നതു കണ്ടു.
അപ്പോൾ നെബൂഖദ്നേസർ കല്പിച്ചതു: ശദ്രക്കിൻ്റെയും മേശക്കിൻ്റെയും അബേദ്നെഗോവിൻ്റെയും ദൈവം വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെട്ടവൻ; തങ്കൽ ആശ്രയിക്കയും സ്വന്തദൈവത്തെയല്ലാതെ വേറൊരു ദൈവത്തെയും സേവിക്കയോ നമസ്കരിക്കയോ ചെയ്യാതിരിക്കത്തക്കവണ്ണം രാജകല്പനക്കുടെ മറുത്തു തങ്ങളുടെ ദേഹത്തെ ഏല്പിച്ചുകൊടുക്കയും ചെയ്ത തൻ്റെ ദാസന്മാരെ അവൻ സ്വദൂതനെ അയച്ചു വിടുവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ. ഈ വിധത്തിൽ വിടുവിപ്പാൻ കഴിയുന്ന മറ്റൊരു ദൈവവും ഇല്ലായ്കകൊണ്ടു ഏതു ജാതിക്കാരിലും വംശക്കാരിലും ഭാഷക്കാരിലും ആരെങ്കിലും ശദ്രക്കിൻ്റെ യും മേശക്കിൻ്റെ യും അബേദ്നെഗോവിൻ്റെ യും ദൈവത്തിന്നു വിരോധമായി വല്ല തെറ്റും പറഞ്ഞാൽ അവനെ കഷണംകഷണമായി ശകലിക്കയും അവൻ്റെ വീടു കുപ്പക്കുന്നാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുമെന്നു ഞാൻ ഒരു വിധി കല്പിക്കുന്നു.

Nebuchadnezzar the king made an image of gold, whose height was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof six cubits: he set it up in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon. Then Nebuchadnezzar in his rage and fury commanded to bring Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Then they brought these men before the king. Nebuchadnezzar spake and said unto them, Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, do not ye serve my gods, nor worship the golden image which I have set up? Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands?
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.
Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego: therefore he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace one seven times more than it was wont to be heated. And he commanded the most mighty men that were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace. Therefore because the king’s commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flame of the fire slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.
Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king. He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God. Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, ye servants of the most high God, come forth, and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, came forth of the midst of the fire. And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king’s counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them.
Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king’s word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God. Therefore I make a decree, That every people, nation, and language, which speak any thing amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort.

അതുകൊണ്ടു അവൻ തക്കസമയത്തു നിങ്ങളെ ഉയർത്തുവാൻ ദൈവത്തിൻ്റെ ബലമുള്ള കൈക്കീഴു താണിരിപ്പിൻ. അവൻ നിങ്ങൾക്കായി കരുതുന്നതാകയാൽ നിങ്ങളുടെ സകല ചിന്താകുലവും അവൻ്റെ മേൽ ഇട്ടുകൊൾവിൻ. നിർമ്മദരായിരിപ്പിൻ; ഉണർന്നിരിപ്പിൻ;

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

സൃഷ്ടി ദൈവപുത്രന്മാരുടെ വെളിപ്പാടിനെ ആകാംക്ഷയോടെ കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നു. സൃഷ്ടി ദ്രവത്വത്തിൻ്റെ ദാസ്യത്തിൽനിന്നു വിടുതലും ദൈവമക്കളുടെ തേജസ്സാകുന്ന സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യവും പ്രാപിക്കും എന്നുള്ള ആശയോടെ മായെക്കു കീഴ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; മനഃപൂർവ്വമായിട്ടല്ല, അതിനെ കീഴ്പെടുത്തിയവൻ്റെ കല്പന നിമിത്തമത്രേ. സർവ്വസൃഷ്ടിയും ഇന്നുവരെ ഒരുപോലെ ഞരങ്ങി ഈറ്റുനോവോടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു നാം അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ.

പക്ഷേ ഒരുവൻ; മരിച്ചവർ എങ്ങനെ ഉയിർക്കുന്നു എന്നും ഏതുവിധം ശരീരത്തോടെ വരുന്നു എന്നും ചോദിക്കും. മൂഢാ, നീ വിതെക്കുന്നതു ചത്തില്ല എങ്കിൽ ജീവിക്കുന്നില്ല. നീ വിതെക്കുന്നതോ ഉണ്ടാകുവാനുള്ള ശരീരമല്ല, കോതമ്പിൻ്റെ യോ മറ്റു വല്ലതിൻ്റെയോ വെറും മണിയത്രേ വിതെക്കുന്നതു; ദൈവമോ തൻ്റെ ഇഷ്ടംപോലെ അതിന്നു ഒരു ശരീരവും ഓരോ വിത്തിന്നു അതതിൻ്റെ ശരീരവും കൊടുക്കുന്നു.

അവൻ്റെ ഭാര്യ അവനോടു: നീ ഇനിയും നിൻ്റെ ഭക്തി മുറുകെ പിടിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നുവോ? ദൈവത്തെ ത്യജിച്ചുപറഞ്ഞു മരിച്ചുകളക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അവൻ അവളോടു: ഒരു പൊട്ടി സംസാരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ നീ സംസാരിക്കുന്നു;
നാം ദൈവത്തിൻ്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു നന്മ കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നു; തിന്മയും കൈക്കൊള്ളരുതോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. ഇതിൽ ഒന്നിലും ഇയ്യോബ് അധരങ്ങളാൽ പാപം ചെയ്തില്ല

അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാരെ വരുത്തി അടിപ്പിച്ചു, ഇനി യേശുവിൻ്റെ നാമത്തിൽ സംസാരിക്കരുതു എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു അവരെ വിട്ടയച്ചു. തിരുനാമത്തിന്നു വേണ്ടി അപമാനം സഹിപ്പാൻ യോഗ്യരായി എണ്ണപ്പെടുകയാൽ അവർ സന്തോഷിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു ന്യായാധിപ സംഘത്തിൻ്റെ മുമ്പിൽ നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടുപോയി. പിന്നെ അവർ ദിനംപ്രതി ദൈവാലയത്തിലും വീടുതോറും വിടാതെ ഉപദേശിക്കയും യേശുവിനെ ക്രിസ്തു എന്നു സുവിശേഷിക്കയും ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

പ്രതികൂലങ്ങളുടെ മധ്യത്തിലും ദൈവത്തെ തള്ളിപറയാതെ ഉറച്ചു നില്കുന്നു
ശദ്രക്കും മേശക്കും അബേദ്നെഗോവും രാജാവിനോടു: നെബൂഖദ്നേസരേ, ഈ കാര്യത്തിൽ ഉത്തരം പറവാൻ ആവശ്യമില്ല. ഞങ്ങൾ സേവിക്കുന്ന ദൈവത്തിന്നു ഞങ്ങളെ വിടുവിപ്പാൻ കഴിയുമെങ്കിൽ, അവൻ ഞങ്ങളെ എരിയുന്ന തീച്ചൂളയിൽനിന്നും രാജാവിൻ്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നും വിടുവിക്കും.അല്ലെങ്കിലും ഞങ്ങൾ രാജാവിൻ്റെ ദേവന്മാരെ സേവിക്കയില്ല. രാജാവു നിർത്തിയ സ്വർണ്ണബിംബത്തെ നമസ്കരിക്കയുമില്ല എന്നു അറിഞ്ഞാലും എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
അപ്പോൾ നെബൂഖദ്നേസരിന്നു കോപം മുഴുത്തു ശദ്രക്കിൻ്റെയും മേശക്കിൻ്റെയും അബേദ്നെഗോവിൻ്റെയും നേരെ മുഖഭാവം മാറി; ചൂള പതിവായി ചൂടുപിടിപ്പിച്ചതിൽ ഏഴുമടങ്ങു ചൂടുപിടിപ്പിപ്പാൻ അവൻ കല്പിച്ചു. അവൻ തൻ്റെ സൈന്യത്തിലെ മഹാബലവാന്മാരായ ചില പുരുഷന്മാരോടു ശദ്രക്കിനെയും മേശക്കിനെയും അബേദ്നെഗോവെയും ബന്ധിച്ചു എരിയുന്ന തീച്ചൂളയിൽ ഇട്ടുകളവാൻ കല്പിച്ചു. രാജകല്പന കർശനമായിരിക്കകൊണ്ടും ചൂള അത്യന്തം ചൂടായിരിക്കകൊണ്ടും ശദ്രക്കിനെയും മേശക്കിനെയും അബേദ്നെഗോവെയും എടുത്തു കൊണ്ടുപോയ പുരുഷന്മാരെ അഗ്നിജ്വാല ദഹിപ്പിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു. ശദ്രക്, മേശക്, അബേദ്നെഗോ എന്നീ മൂന്നു പുരുഷന്മാരോ ബന്ധിക്കപ്പെട്ടവരായി എരിയുന്ന തീച്ചൂളയിൽ വീണു.
നെബൂഖദ്നേസർരാജാവു ഭ്രമിച്ചു വേഗത്തിൽ എഴുന്നേറ്റു മന്ത്രിമാരോടു: നാം മൂന്നു പുരുഷന്മാരെ അല്ലയോ ബന്ധിച്ചു തീയിൽ ഇട്ടതു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു അവർ: സത്യം തന്നേ രാജാവേ എന്നു രാജാവിനോടു ഉണർത്തിച്ചു.അതിന്നു അവൻ: നാലു പുരുഷന്മാർ കെട്ടഴിഞ്ഞു തീയിൽ നടക്കുന്നതു ഞാൻ കാണുന്നു; അവർക്കു ഒരു കേടും തട്ടീട്ടില്ല; നാലാമത്തവൻ്റെ രൂപം ഒരു ദൈവപുത്രനോടു ഒത്തിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു. നെബൂഖദ്നേസർ എരിയുന്ന തീച്ചൂളയുടെ വാതിൽക്കൽ അടുത്തു ചെന്നു; അത്യുന്നത ദൈവത്തിൻ്റെ ദാസന്മാരായ ശദ്രക്കേ, മേശക്കേ, അബേദ്നെഗോവേ, പുറത്തുവരുവിൻ എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു; അങ്ങനെ ശദ്രക്കും മേശക്കും അബേദ്നെഗോവും തീയിൽനിന്നു പുറത്തു വന്നു.
പ്രധാന ദേശാധിപതിമാരും സ്ഥാനാപതിമാരും ദേശാധിപതിമാരും രാജമന്ത്രിമാരും വന്നുകൂടി, ആ പുരുഷന്മാരുടെ ദേഹത്തിന്നു തീ പിടിക്കാതെയും അവരുടെ തലമുടി കരിയാതെയും കാൽചട്ടെക്കു കേടു പറ്റാതെയും അവർക്കു തീയുടെ മണംപോലും തട്ടാതെയും ഇരുന്നതു കണ്ടു.
അപ്പോൾ നെബൂഖദ്നേസർ കല്പിച്ചതു: ശദ്രക്കിൻ്റെയും മേശക്കിൻ്റെയും അബേദ്നെഗോവിൻ്റെയും ദൈവം വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെട്ടവൻ; തങ്കൽ ആശ്രയിക്കയും സ്വന്തദൈവത്തെയല്ലാതെ വേറൊരു ദൈവത്തെയും സേവിക്കയോ നമസ്കരിക്കയോ ചെയ്യാതിരിക്കത്തക്കവണ്ണം രാജകല്പനക്കുടെ മറുത്തു തങ്ങളുടെ ദേഹത്തെ ഏല്പിച്ചുകൊടുക്കയും ചെയ്ത തൻ്റെ ദാസന്മാരെ അവൻ സ്വദൂതനെ അയച്ചു വിടുവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ. ഈ വിധത്തിൽ വിടുവിപ്പാൻ കഴിയുന്ന മറ്റൊരു ദൈവവും ഇല്ലായ്കകൊണ്ടു ഏതു ജാതിക്കാരിലും വംശക്കാരിലും ഭാഷക്കാരിലും ആരെങ്കിലും ശദ്രക്കിൻ്റെ യും മേശക്കിൻ്റെ യും അബേദ്നെഗോവിൻ്റെ യും ദൈവത്തിന്നു വിരോധമായി വല്ല തെറ്റും പറഞ്ഞാൽ അവനെ കഷണംകഷണമായി ശകലിക്കയും അവൻ്റെ വീടു കുപ്പക്കുന്നാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുമെന്നു ഞാൻ ഒരു വിധി കല്പിക്കുന്നു.

Nebuchadnezzar the king made an image of gold, whose height was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof six cubits: he set it up in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon. Then Nebuchadnezzar in his rage and fury commanded to bring Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Then they brought these men before the king. Nebuchadnezzar spake and said unto them, Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, do not ye serve my gods, nor worship the golden image which I have set up? Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands?
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.
Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego: therefore he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace one seven times more than it was wont to be heated. And he commanded the most mighty men that were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace. Therefore because the king’s commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flame of the fire slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.
Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king. He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God. Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, ye servants of the most high God, come forth, and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, came forth of the midst of the fire. And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king’s counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them.
Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king’s word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God. Therefore I make a decree, That every people, nation, and language, which speak any thing amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort.

അതുകൊണ്ടു അവൻ തക്കസമയത്തു നിങ്ങളെ ഉയർത്തുവാൻ ദൈവത്തിൻ്റെ ബലമുള്ള കൈക്കീഴു താണിരിപ്പിൻ. അവൻ നിങ്ങൾക്കായി കരുതുന്നതാകയാൽ നിങ്ങളുടെ സകല ചിന്താകുലവും അവൻ്റെ മേൽ ഇട്ടുകൊൾവിൻ. നിർമ്മദരായിരിപ്പിൻ; ഉണർന്നിരിപ്പിൻ;
