പിതാവായ ദൈവത്തിൻ്റെ മുന്നറിവിന്നു ഒത്തവണ്ണം ആത്മാവിൻ്റെ വിശുദ്ധീകരണം പ്രാപിച്ചു അനുസരണം കാണിപ്പാനും യേശു ക്രിസ്തുവിൻ്റെ രക്തത്താൽ തളിക്കപ്പെടുവാനുമായി വൃതന്മാരുമായവർക്കു എഴുതുന്നതു: നിങ്ങൾക്കു കൃപയും സമാധാനവും വർദ്ധിക്കുമാറാകട്ടെ.

അവൻ അവളെ വചനത്തോടുകൂടിയ ജലസ്നാനത്താൽ വെടിപ്പാക്കി വിശുദ്ധീകരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും. കറ, ചുളുക്കം മുതലായതു ഒന്നും ഇല്ലാതെ സഭയെ ശുദ്ധയും നിഷ്കളങ്കയുമായി തനിക്കു തന്നേ തേജസ്സോടെ മുന്നിറുത്തേണ്ടതിന്നും തന്നെത്താൻ അവൾക്കു വേണ്ടി ഏല്പിച്ചുകൊടുത്തു. (ക്രിസ്തുവും മണവാട്ടി ആയ സഭയും)

ശുദ്ധിയുള്ളവർക്കു എല്ലാം ശുദ്ധം തന്നേ; എന്നാൽ മലിനന്മാർക്കും അവിശ്വാസികൾക്കും ഒന്നും ശുദ്ധമല്ല; അവരുടെ ചിത്തവും മനസ്സാക്ഷിയും മലിനമായി തീർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു. അവർ ദൈവത്തെ അറിയുന്നു എന്നു പറയുന്നുവെങ്കിലും പ്രവൃത്തികളാൽ അവനെ നിഷേധിക്കുന്നു. അവർ അറെക്കത്തക്കവരും അനുസരണം കെട്ടവരും യാതൊരു നല്ല കാര്യത്തിന്നും കൊള്ളരുതാത്ത വരുമാകുന്നു.

ആകയാൽ ദുർന്നടപ്പു, അശുദ്ധി, അതിരാഗം, ദുർമ്മോഹം, വിഗ്രഹാരാധനയായ അത്യാഗ്രഹം ഇങ്ങനെ ഭൂമിയിലുള്ള നിങ്ങളുടെ അവയവങ്ങളെ മരിപ്പിപ്പിൻ. ഈ വക നിമിത്തം ദൈവകോപം അനസരണംകെട്ടവരുടെ മേൽ വരുന്നു. അവയിൽ ജീവിച്ചിരുന്ന കാലം നിങ്ങളും മുമ്പെ അവയിൽ നടന്നുപോന്നു. ഇപ്പോഴോ നിങ്ങളും കോപം, ക്രോധം, ഈർഷ്യ, വായിൽനിന്നു വരുന്ന ദൂഷണം, ദുർഭാഷണം ഇവ ഒക്കെയും വിട്ടുകളവിൻ. അന്യോന്യം ഭോഷ്കു പറയരുതു. നിങ്ങൾ പഴയ മനുഷ്യനെ അവൻ്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികളോടുകൂടെ ഉരിഞ്ഞുകളഞ്ഞു, തന്നെ സൃഷ്ടിച്ചവൻ്റെ പ്രതിമപ്രകാരം പരിജ്ഞാനത്തിന്നായി പുതുക്കം പ്രാപിക്കുന്ന പുതിയ മനുഷ്യനെ ധരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നവല്ലോ

നമ്മുടെ പാപങ്ങളെ ഏറ്റുപറയുന്നു എങ്കിൽ അവൻ( യേശു )നമ്മോടു പാപങ്ങളെ ക്ഷമിച്ചു സകല അനീതിയും പോക്കി നമ്മെ ശുദ്ധീകരിപ്പാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം വിശ്വസ്തനും നീതിമാനും ആകുന്നു. നാം പാപം ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ല എന്നു പറയുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ അവനെ അസത്യവാദിയാക്കുന്നു; അവൻ്റെ വചനം നമ്മിൽ ഇല്ലാതെയായി.

If we confess our sins, he(Jesus) is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

ആകയാൽ നിങ്ങളുടെ മനസ്സു ഉറപ്പിച്ചു നിർമ്മദരായി യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിൻ്റെ പ്രത്യക്ഷതയിങ്കൽ നിങ്ങൾക്കു വരുവാനുള്ള കൃപയിൽ പൂർണ്ണ പ്രത്യാശ വെച്ചുകൊൾവിൻ. പണ്ടു നിങ്ങളുടെ അജ്ഞാനകാലത്തു ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന മോഹങ്ങളെ മാതൃകയാക്കാതെ നിങ്ങളെ വിളിച്ച വിശുദ്ധന്നു ഒത്തവണ്ണം അനുസരണമുള്ള മക്കളായി എല്ലാനടപ്പിലും വിശുദ്ധരാകുവിൻ. “ഞാൻ വിശുദ്ധൻ ആകയാൽ നിങ്ങളും വിശുദ്ധരായിരിപ്പിൻ ” എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ

മുമ്പെ ദുഷ്‌പ്രവൃത്തികളാൽ മനസ്സുകൊണ്ടു അകന്നവരും ശത്രുക്കളുമായിരുന്ന നിങ്ങളെ അവൻ്റെ മുമ്പിൽ വിശുദ്ധരും നിഷ്കളങ്കരും കുറ്റമില്ലാത്തവരുമായി നിറുത്തേണ്ടതിന്നു അവൻ(യേശു) ഇപ്പോൾ തൻ്റെ ജഡശരീരത്തിൽ തൻ്റെ മരണത്താൽ നിരപ്പിച്ചു.

നിങ്ങളുടെ വിശ്വാസത്തോടു വീര്യവും വീര്യത്തോടു പരിജ്ഞാനവും പരിജ്ഞാനത്തോടു ഇന്ദ്രീയജയവും ഇന്ദ്രീയജയത്തോടു സ്ഥിരതയും സ്ഥിരതയോടു ഭക്തിയും ഭക്തിയോടു സഹോദരപ്രീതിയും സഹോദരപ്രീതിയോടു സ്നേഹവും കൂട്ടിക്കൊൾവിൻ. ഇവ നിങ്ങൾക്കുണ്ടായി വർദ്ധിക്കുന്നു എങ്കിൽ നിങ്ങൾ നമ്മുടെ കർത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിൻ്റെ പരിജ്ഞാനം സംബന്ധിച്ചു ഉത്സാഹമില്ലാത്തവരും നിഷ്ഫലന്മാരും ആയിരിക്കയില്ല. അവയില്ലാത്തവനോ കുരുടൻ അത്രേ; അവൻ ഹ്രസ്വദൃഷ്ടിയുള്ളവനും തൻ്റെ മുമ്പിലത്തെ പാപങ്ങളുടെ ശുദ്ധീകരണം മറന്നവനും തന്നേ. അതുകൊണ്ടു സഹോദരന്മാരേ, നിങ്ങളുടെ വിളിയും തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പും ഉറപ്പാക്കുവാൻ അധികം ശ്രമിപ്പിൻ. ഇങ്ങനെ ചെയ്താൽ നിങ്ങൾ ഒരുനാളും ഇടറിപ്പോകാതെ നമ്മുടെ കർത്താവും രക്ഷിതാവുമായ യേശു ക്രിസ്തുവിൻ്റെ നിത്യരാജ്യത്തിലേക്കുള്ള പ്രവേശനം ധാരാളമായി പ്രാപിക്കും

And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. ചിലർ താമസം എന്നു വിചാരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ കർത്താവു തൻ്റെ വാഗ്ദത്തം നിവർത്തിപ്പാൻ താമസിക്കുന്നില്ല.ആരുംനശിച്ചുപോകാതെ എല്ലാവരും മാനസാന്തരപ്പെടുവാൻ അവൻ ഇച്ഛിച്ചു നിങ്ങളോടു ദീർഘക്ഷമ കാണിക്കുന്നതേയുള്ളു.കർത്താവിൻ്റെ ദിവസമോ കള്ളനെപ്പോലെ വരും. അന്നു ആകാശം കൊടുമ്മുഴക്കത്തോടെ ഒഴിഞ്ഞു പോകും; മൂലപദാർത്ഥങ്ങൾ കത്തിയഴികയും ഭൂമിയും അതിലുള്ള പണികളും വെന്തുപോകയും ചെയ്യും.ഇങ്ങനെ ഇവ ഒക്കെയും അഴിവാനുള്ളതായിരിക്കയാൽ ആകാശം ചുട്ടഴിവാനും മൂലപദാർത്ഥങ്ങൾ വെന്തുരുകുവാനും ഉള്ള ദൈവദിവസത്തിൻ്റെ വരവു കാത്തിരുന്നും ബദ്ധപ്പെടുത്തിയും കൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങൾ എത്ര വിശുദ്ധജീവനവും ഭക്തിയും ഉള്ളവർ ആയിരിക്കേണം.
